The Glasgow "September Weekend"
We will be closed on Fri 24th, Sat 35th, Sun 26th & Mon 27th of September, reopening on Tuesday 28th @ 9.30am.
A "BIG" holiday.
We have decided that as we are not getting any younger, we are taking the opportunity to visit friends in Australia that we haven't seen for years.
We will be closed from the evening of Friday 24th December, Christmas Eve, and will reopen as "normal" on
Monday 17th January 2011.

GOOD NEWS REGARDING OMEGA f300Hz's AND ANY OTHER OBSOLETE QUARTZ OR ELECTRONIC OMEGA CALIBRE!
For the past year we have been using the services of a fantastic company who can succesfully service and repair the majority of the obsolete Omega calibres! This is great news if you have been struggling to find someone to undertake such work.
I do feel, however, that you should note two points.
A - This work does not come cheap. The starting costs, bearing in mind that we are talking about obsolete calibres, is usually from £235.00 and we have had costs at over £600.00. So you must really be attached to your watch to have this work undertaken.
B - We will still quite happily estimate with no obligation or charge as far as Martins of Glasgow are concerned, but the company we use do charge us for estimates that are not proceeded, £33.50, so we obviously have to pass this on to the client.

For a few years we toyed with the idea of our own range of diamond and gem set jewellery, and after many months searching for the right supplier, we were introduced to Tim, from Manchester, who had imported inexpensive but quality jewellery for his own business, and due to distance between business's, agreed to supply us, for the first time last Christmas.
It was such a success, it is now a permanent feature in our cabinets.
Yellow & white gold mounted rings, pendants & earrings consisting of diamonds, sapphires, topaz. garnets, "mystic" topaz and this seasons "must have" stone AMYTHEST, all beautifully presented, with our compliments, in light coloured solid wood presentation boxes.
