Celebrity watches are likely to be in the class of sophisticated Seiko Coutura rather than in the class of trustworthy Timex, but what are celebs sporting on their wrists nowadays – and can you afford to follow suit?

Celebrity Watches

Heidi Klum is a German model, television personality, businesswoman, fashion designer, singer, television producer, author, and actress (my goodness the list is endless…),  She can often be spotted wearing the oversized Panerai Radiomir 1940 3 Days Oro Rosso men’s watch.

Centered around a rich black dial, the Radiomir 1940 3 Days Oro Rosso 42mm watch features a 42mm case, a bezel with a polished gold shine, transparent sapphire and a crystal glass. It’s available on the Panerai website for a larger than life €17,200

Michelle Obama, First Lady of the United States from 2009 to 2017, and also a lawyer and writer, wears a wide selection of watches.

At various events she’s opted for the elegant Tank Francaise from Cartier. With its steel case, octagonal crown in steel set with a synthetic cabochon-shaped spinel, silver-grained dial, sword-shaped hands in blued steel, sapphire crystal – it demonstrates impeccable fashion taste.

Compared to some this is an absolute bargain at €3,900.

Madonna – No introduction required?  She’s led the way with celebrity watches for decades.  A favourite of the singer, actor, and business woman is the Jacob & Co Angel dual zone timepiece.

An unusual design, it allows you to easily see the time in one time zone while keeping a watchful eye on the next. Budget required –  an eye watering €25,000 or thereabouts!

Kate Middleton – the Duchess of Cambridge of Great Britain was given the sentimental gift of a curved round steel Ballon Blue from Cartier by her husband, Prince William. She’s rarely seen without it and it exudes exclusivity and chic elegance – a modern classic.

With the convex curves of the case, guilloché dial, sword-shaped hands, and polished or satin-finish links of the bracelet, this timepiece can be yours for approximately €3,800.

Finally, for something a little more affordable, check out the watch of the American Ballet Theater principal dancer, Misty Copeland.  Her Seiko Coutura Solar is adorned with diamonds and uses solar energy to store a charge for up to six months.  With its diamonds and ceramic and mother-of-pearl dials, it’s ideal for the fashion forward woman.  This celebrity watch is available at a much more reasonable and affordable €350.

We could go on and on, listing many more celebrity watches but we’re interested in your thoughts. What are your favourites and what makes them appeal to you? Leave your thoughts on our Facebook page.

We’ll also do a future blog on men’s celebrity watches. Watch (pardon the pun) this space.
